Number of ragging cases reported to Anti Ragging Committee (ARC) - Two
Action taken by Anti Ragging Committee:
1. ARCC/OR2435
Action taken – ARC visited GH III on 04-11-2015 where the 1st semester students were accommodated and interacted with the students individually about any anti-ragging activity. Students were carefully counselled individually and asked about the occurance of any form of ragging by seniors.
Conclusion of investigation – No vivid evidence of any form of ragging was found in the hostel. However anti ragging squad, ARC and local police were asked to keep a strict vigil over GH III where 1st year students are residing. HODs of all the departments were asked to remail alert and sensitize the students about anti-ragging.
2. ARCC/ OR-3072
Action taken – ARC visited GH IV on 04.11.2016 where the 1st semester students (Freshers) are accommodated. There was one-to-one interaction with the students and they were asked about any ragging activities by the seniors including the one against whom the complaint had been lodged by the mentioned student. Careful counselling of individual students done and were asked to repose trust in the committee members and report any kind of trauma/ torture/ harassment of any nature and form to them, without any fear of disclosure of their identities.
Conclusion of investigation – No conclusion evidence of ragging in any form was found inside / outside the hostel premises or in the campus. There was no evidence against the concerned student, after a proper and detailed investigation. However anti ragging squad, ARC and local police were asked to keep a strict vigil over GH IV where 1st year students are residing. HODs of all the departments were asked to re mail alert and sensitize the students about anti-ragging.
